Soffban Synthetic Undercast Padding — Choose Width

Soffban Synthetic is soft, conformable polyester padding placed under casts or bandages to cushion the skin and protect pressure areas. Choose a 7.5, 10 or 15 cm width to suit the limb and casting technique selected by a trained clinician.

Professional application

1. Inspect the skin and add a suitable protective stockinette where needed. Wrap the padding smoothly with even overlap, avoiding folds or excessive tension.
2. Add appropriate cushioning over bony prominences and cast edges according to the clinical plan, then apply Gypsona plaster or Neal Cast tape over the padding as appropriate.
3. After casting, monitor sensation and circulation. Pain, numbness or colour change requires urgent clinical assessment.

For application by trained professionals as part of a cast. Do not cover an open wound without an appropriate dressing and care plan. Confirm roll length and pack details before quotation.
