Tensoplast Elastic Adhesive Bandage — Choose Width

Tensoplast is a cotton elastic adhesive bandage for firm fixation, compression and support around joints or areas where movement needs to be limited. Its zinc oxide adhesive helps it stay in place while the material remains breathable. Select a 5, 7.5 or 10 cm width to suit the treatment area. A healthcare professional should determine the appropriate level of compression and application for each patient.

How to use

1. Clean and dry the skin and choose a suitable width.
2. Wrap with even overlap and moderate tension, without restricting circulation, then secure the end.
3. Check skin colour and sensation beyond the wrap. Remove it and seek clinical advice if numbness, pain or swelling occurs.

Do not apply the adhesive directly to open wounds or irritated skin, or use it if there is a known adhesive sensitivity. For a wound, place suitable gauze or an ABD pad beneath the fixation as directed by a clinician. Soffban padding may be a complementary item for appropriate casting work. Roll length and pack details should be confirmed when requesting a quotation.
