KY809 Haram manual wheelchair

A manual wheelchair with a nominal 46 cm (18-inch) seat width and nylon upholstery, for everyday mobility and visits with an attendant or self-propulsion using the rear wheel rims when the user is able. It has a folding frame, large rear wheels, swivelling front castors, armrests and footplates. Folding helps with transport and storage after the user has left the chair.

Use

1. Fully open the chair until the seat is settled, unfold the footplates and check brake operation and wheel condition.
2. Place the chair on level ground and apply both wheel brakes before seating or transferring the user. Move footplates clear of the feet and use attendant assistance when needed.
3. After seating, place feet on the footplates and release brakes for movement. A capable user can propel using wheel rims or an attendant can push using rear handles at a speed appropriate to the surroundings.
4. After the user has left, raise footplates and fold the frame from the centre of the seat. Clean nylon upholstery according to its label and check fasteners regularly.
