Medline Premium Sterile ABD Pads — Choose Size

Medline Premium sterile ABD pads are large, absorbent dressings for covering wounds with drainage. The soft nonwoven outer layer helps wick fluid towards an absorbent core, while sealed edges help limit lint. Choose 5 × 9, 7.5 × 8 or 8 × 10 inches according to wound size and the care plan.

How to use

1. Wash hands and cleanse the wound as directed by a clinician. Check the sterile package before opening it cleanly.
2. Place the pad over the draining area. If a nonadherent wound contact layer is needed, use an appropriate dressing such as Derma-Tulle first, as directed.
3. Secure with suitable fixation tape such as Pharmafix or a bandage without excessive tension. Change when saturated or according to the care plan.

Do not use a damaged or expired pack. Deep wounds, signs of infection or heavy drainage warrant clinical assessment. Confirm the pad quantity and pack details when requesting a quotation.
