First Step pen-style home pregnancy test for qualitative detection of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) in urine. It is an initial screening aid. How to use and interpret

1. Check expiry and pouch integrity, then read the entire leaflet. First-morning urine is preferable when testing early.
2. Open the pouch just before use and remove the absorbent-tip cap. Hold the tip in the urine stream or dip it into a clean urine sample for the period specified in the supplied leaflet, without exceeding the immersion limit.
3. Replace the cap, place the pen on a level surface and read the control and test lines only within the leaflet’s specified time window. No control line means an invalid result that needs a new test.
4. If negative but pregnancy is still suspected or a period remains overdue, retest later as directed or speak with a healthcare professional. Seek clinical confirmation when needed.
