This version shows a dark metal frame, movable armrests, legrests with calf support pads and footplates, large rear wheels and attendant push handles. Swing-away legrests help clear the space in front of the user during transfers. The chair folds for transport and storage after the user has left.

Use

1. Open the chair and check seat stability, secure legrests and footrests, and test brakes before seating.
2. On level ground, apply both wheel brakes before transfers. Move legrests and armrests away when needed for a lateral transfer with suitable assistance.
3. Refit the legrests and adjust to a comfortable position according to the version’s mechanism, then place feet on the footplates. Release brakes and move slowly. An attendant can push from rear handles.
4. Apply brakes when stopped. After the user has left, move footrests away and lift the seat centre to fold. Regularly inspect fasteners and wheels.
