LC8630LAJ-20 Black Wheelchair, 46 cm Seat

LC8630LAJ-20 Black Wheelchair, 46 cm Seat

A manual wheelchair with a black frame and dark fabric seat and backrest, 20-inch rear wheels with push rims, smaller front castors, padded armrests, front footrests with a calf strap, and attendant handles with brake controls. The listed seat width is 46 cm (18 in). The backrest and frame fold for storage after the user leaves the chair.

Fit and transfers

Check that the seat and foot position suit the user and that the chair fits through doorways. The movable armrests can help clear the side of the seat for transfers when the chair is stationary and secured. Test whether the user can reach the 20-inch push rims if self-propulsion is intended.

How to use

1. Unfold the frame and backrest fully and check the wheels and supports.
2. Apply the brakes for transfers and move footplates and an armrest aside as appropriate.
3. Secure all supports, position the feet, and use the push rims or attendant handles on suitable ground.
4. Ask for help at kerbs and slopes and do not rely on the brakes alone to hold the chair on an incline.
5. Fold only when unoccupied and clean and dry the upholstery and wheels.
