KY863-12 Transport Chair, 46 cm Seat and 12 in Wheels

KY863-12 Transport Chair, 46 cm Seat

An attendant-propelled chair with a 46 cm (18 in) seat, dark fabric upholstery, yellow accents on the armrest frames, 12-inch rear wheels, smaller front castors, and a fold-down backrest. The pictured chair also has padded armrests, footrests, and a lap belt. The rear wheels do not show self-propulsion push rims.

For assisted movement

The smaller rear wheels suit transport by an attendant through appropriate corridors. The visible belt helps maintain a seated position but does not replace individually assessed postural support.

How to use

1. Unfold the chair and check the seat, wheels, and supports.
2. Apply the brakes for transfers and keep feet clear of the footplates while sitting down or standing up.
3. Position the feet on the supports and adjust the belt comfortably.
4. Push from the rear handles at a suitable pace. Seek help at kerbs or slopes.
5. Fold only when unoccupied. Clean and dry the upholstery and wheels and inspect the fixings.
